What makes me different from other trainers?

Without a doubt my passion is to meet people in their current state and help them live healthier happier lives. For one, no judgement on what you did or didn’t do. Important thing is to get started and get moving. I know that everyone is different and has different needs/wants and I aim to make this about YOU and not about the past 5 people I helped or all about a cookie-cutter program. Each person needs individual attention and some need more help in certain areas and less help in others. I’m a researcher. If you have a question and I don’t have the answer, I’ll find it. I will celebrate your uniqueness and not only help you achieve your goals now, but teach you how to achieve them in the future for an everlasting sustainable effect.

What are my focus specialties?

My focus is YOU. Knowledge and experience is key in tailored fitness programs. I'm not tied to a specific program or brand. I love working with people that have unique challenges and goals or specific lifestyle goals such as mature adults or busy moms. I also have years of experience battling thyroid disease and overcoming health challenges that create a special empathy for people in that situation.

Most people need more than just a running program or a weight lifting program. I like to integrate all types of training into a workout. I am trained in Yoga, Pilates, Cycle, Water Aerobics, Body Pump, as well as Fitness Nutrition, but I make sure my number one focus is YOU. One day you might be up for a 3 mile run, or stress and tight muscles might be the focus another day. I can tailor programs that combine a little bit of everything into a workout or ones that have a specific race or competition goal in mind and need consistency. There is no one way to get fit, healthy, lose weight or feel better - everyone gets a program detailed and tailored for the individual needs.

I have raised three beautiful daughters (working on a fourth who is now in elementary school), held a full time job while co-managing a family owned business with my husband, and attempted, though sporadically, to further my education. All while battling thyroid disease for 20 years. I know the challenges one faces when going at full speed in life just trying to keep up. Those challenges make it difficult to stay healthy, spend time on our own well-being, and juggle hectic schedules.

I knew there had to be an easier way, so I made a life changing decision to do something about it and follow my dream to positively impact lives through long term health, well-being, personal achievement, and fitness. My goal is to make it simple for others to fit effective personalized fitness into their busy schedules. Maximizing energy and well-being within our health and fitness, allows us to GO full speed or FULL TILT in life, without sacrificing important aspects like family time and balance.

My aim is to establish effective fitness and nutrition programs that motivate others and give them the tools and knowledge to achieve health and fitness goals for a variety of specific needs and life stages. I am Adult & Infant CPR/AED Certified and ACE Certified accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies, a standard recommended by the International Health, Racquet and Sportsclub Association and the Medical Fitness Association. Certification No. T202385. I am also a Certified Spin Instructor and Certified in Fitness Nutrition by the American Council on Exercise, ACE.

Running is my favorite fitness activity, and I am proud of completing over 20 different races (and counting) including the Capital 10K, the SA Rock N Roll half marathon, the Trail Ragnar, the Spartan, the Warrior Dash and other 5 and 10K charity runs. Whether I am running, biking, hiking, doing yoga, weight training, or participating in other forms of training and endurance building, I can see and feel the incredible difference it makes in my life and the lives of my family and friends. And I want others to experience that difference in their lives as well.
